The highlight of last week was definitely reading the 1st review for my debut novel, ‘My First Half‘ on Amazon. I don’t think I ever truly appreciated the value of writing a review or even giving a star rating before but seeing it there in black and white and knowing that somebody had enjoyed my book enough to take the time to write a review was just the absolute best feeling in the world so whoever you are, thank you so much.
What I Read Last Week (8)
Last week was great reading-wise – there were 3 five-star reads and I’m now over halfway towards my target of reading 200 books this year so 🙂
- The Opposite of You by Rachel Higginson (5 Stars)
- Running Mate by Katie Ashley (4 Stars)
- Master Professor (Lessons From The Rack Book 1) by Tara Sue Me (5 Stars)
- Bombshell (Hollywood A-List Book 1) by CD Reiss (3 Stars)
- I Don’t (Enamorado Book 1) by Ella Fox (5 Stars)
- Easy Magic by Kristen Proby (3 Stars)
- Second Verse by Emily Snow (4 Stars)
- One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid (4 Stars)
What I Bought Last Week (3)
I’d already pre-ordered ‘Master Professor‘ by Tara Sue Me and ‘Easy Magic‘ by Kristen Proby so those popped up on my Kindle on Tuesday 🙂 I was then tempted by ‘I Don’t‘ by Ella Fox after it was spotlighted in the NBJ Weekly Recap.
What I’m Going to Read Next
Melting the Ice by Jaci Burton
Everything’s coming together for budding fashion designer Carolina Preston. Only months away from having her own line, she could use some publicity. That’s when her brother suggests his best friend as a model – hockey player Drew Hogan.
Carolina and Drew already have a history – a hot one, back in college. Unforgettable for Carolina, but for Drew, just another slap shot. This time, though, it’s different. His perfect body would be for professional use only. This time, she could use him.
Drew is all for it. He’s looking forward to the exposure. Plus, it would give him a chance to prove to Carolina that he’s changed. If only he could thaw her emotions, convince her to let down her guard and let him in just one more time…
